Overview: chalet description: Chalet No.14 description

Described by the Daily Telegraph as "Verbier's top chalet" and by the Daily Mail as "The most luxurious chalet in Verbier, perhaps even in the Alps", No.14 is arguably the most unique chalet available to rent in Verbier.

This former hotel recently underwent an extensive transformation and refurbishment. The result is one of stylish, contemporary alpine chic, complimented by the highest quality fixtures and fittings, with all furniture custom-made in London. With over 1000 sqm of living space and 13 en suite bedrooms, No.14 is perfect for special occasions, extended families and corporate groups.

One of the highlights is the spa which has a 10-metre pool, steam room, cold plunge pool, jacuzzi and two treatment rooms. Outside, an expansive decked terrace is the perfect place to admire the views of the Combin Massif, either from one of the comfy sun loungers or from the warmth of the large cedar hot tub - glass of vintage champagne in hand!

Although No.14 is only a seven-minute walk from the Place Centrale or two minutes from the bottom of the Le Rouge piste, there is always a chauffeured 4x4 vehicle to take you wherever you need. Meals: Chalet No.14 food & drink

The best quality ingredients, locally sourced, carefully prepared, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented are the cornerstones of the delicious meals provided. Our chefs are all professionally trained and very experienced, many of whom have worked in Michelin-star restaurants such as Le Gavroche, Chez Bruce, The Square, L'Enclume, Chewton Glen and Launceston Place to name but some. However, their greatest strengths are their passion for food and service.

Breakfast, afternoon tea and cakes, fabulous pre-dinner canapés and a 4-course dinner is generally what we offer. If you would prefer lighter suppers and/or children's teas, this can easily be arranged. Our chefs are always happy to speak to you on the phone before your arrival in Verbier to help them cater for any specific requests or individual dietary requirements that you may have.

We are passionate about our wine, and our excellent selection of ten complimentary house wines have been carefully chosen to offer something for everyone, whether your preference is for a European classic or a bottle from the New World. Our fabulous house champagnes, Perrier Jouët Grand Brut and G.H.Mumm Cordon Rouge are complimentary and available throughout your stay.

If you are looking for something extra special, we have over eighty upgrade wines and champagnes in our cellars, from Château Mouton-Rothschild Bordeaux to Cloudy Bay sauvignon blanc to Dom Pérignon champagne.

We update Chalet No.14's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...

"This refurbished Swiss hotel is leading the way with its boutique style. And the food is excellent, too"

Minty Clinch, Independent

Smart London interior designer Fiona Barrett was given the brief of making it work both as a corporate chalet and a boutique hotel. Her masterplan to divide and rule is well thought out and immaculately executed. Although there is a log fire in the sitting room, the area has groups of chairs and sofas to allow guests to choose between privacy and conviviality. Chrome coffee tables, gunmetal-grey lanterns, occasional tables made of polished, petrified wood and furry throws in wolfish shades enforce her current colour preference. The bar-dining room is equally flexible, dominated by a large table, but with smaller ones by windows with spectacular views. The terrace, running the full length of the front of the building, is also zoned. While some guests frolic over champagne in the cedar hot tub, others can sit around the iron fire pit admiring Le Grand Combin, Switzerland's second highest peak. The epitome of stylish, yet understated, Alpine chic, it features a mix of traditional timber and stone, complemented by the highest quality fixtures and fittings, with furniture bespoke and handmade in London by Ben Whistler. … Outside the decked terrace offers views across the valley from one of the comfy chairs, or the huge cedar hot tub. But really it is just the sheer delight of being a guest in such sumptuous and spectacular surroundings that makes a stay in No.14 a very special experience indeed.
