Overview: chalet description: Chalet Montagnettes I description

The small yet comfortable Montagnettes I is perfect if you're a small group of friends or a couple of families looking for a cosy base for the week. The homely atmosphere hits you as soon as you walk in past the coat racks and up into the lounge with the mountain views which draw you to the balcony.

Your location is pretty ideal. It's only 50m to the nearest slope (a blue run) and the resort centre is an easy five minute walk thanks to the covered walkways in Belle Plagne. You'll find the equipment hire shop and a good selection of shops and bars in the resort centre too, making for a really convenient stay.

There's a small open fire in the lounge which adds to the cosiness, particularly when the lights are low and the tea lights reflect in the huge lounge windows. Sink back into the L-shaped sofa with a drink in-hand and choose to have a chilled night in or head out to enjoy the laid-back nightlife in Belle Plagne.

Being an apart-chalet and part of a complex of chalets means that you have access a couple of times a week to the shared wellness facilities. This includes a sauna and hot tub as well as a relaxation area to really unwind. There's a small charge for using the facilities, but this can be paid for locally.

The first floor has an economy single with bunk beds recommended for one adult or two children. This room shares a bathroom with the ground floor. The second floor has two club twin rooms‚ both with an ensuite shower but sharing a separate wc.

Meals: Chalet Montagnettes I food & drink

Our chalet board basis is designed for skiers and boarders. Start every morning with an extensive continental breakfast, and cooked options on most days. Your daily afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes and biscuits will be waiting for you when you come in from the slopes.

Evening meals are a three-course set-menu with regionally inspired dishes and free-flowing wine throughout the week, all followed by fresh coffee. We provide evening meals on six nights a week leaving you free to head out and explore the resort on one evening.

We update Chalet Montagnettes I's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

In the French Alps' Savoie region, La Plagne was established in the early sixties and now consists of 11 villages: 7 purpose built villages and 4 traditional villages. The aptly named Plagne Centre at the heart of the resort is the main hub of shops, restaurants and après ski. Just underneath lies Plagne 1800, a cluster of chalets spread across a steep hillside. Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a l...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts and a wide choice of different ski schools for those new to skiing. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners. The blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin provides a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate skiers, La Plagne is paradise. 77% of the runs are graded either blue or red. Particular favourites are the run from La Grand Roch...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. Try snowmobiling at night, ice climbing in Champagny, husky sledding, paragliding, extreme tobogganing and more! One experience not to be missed is the bobsleigh track, used for Olympic training. There are various ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr up to a lightening 120...
