We’d definitely be happy to go back to the Sureau, no complaints! We were lucky to have a very good chef; the food was great with a mix of different stuff throughout the week. Bedrooms simple and basic, but we knew that when we booked and you’re not in Courchevel to spend all day in your room! It has a pretty... + more

Just wanted to say that we had a fantastic time and the lads hosting us, Andrew and Alex were absolutely fabulous. They were helpful and friendly and their food and presentation was probably the best we have ever had in a chalet holiday. The chalet was clean and very comfortable. + more

ALL BEDROOMS HAVE HAD A MAKEOVER! NEW FLOORING, NEW BATHROOMS. MODERN CONTEMPORARY STYLING.
Chalet Le Sureau is a popular, well located chalet which offers great value for money. The main lifts are a short (two minute) walk up the hill into the village, and guests are welcome to leave equipment from our recommended hire shops overnight. There are views of the slopes and peaks of Courchevel 1850, and when the snow is falling the lounge becomes warm and welcoming with the log fire burning. The bedrooms are smaller and more basic than some of our newer, smarter chalets, but all still have an ensuite shower and wc and of course you still receive the same excellent food and service. The boot room has an electric boot-warmer to dry out your boots overnight. As well as being great for groups of up to 16, Chalet Le Sureau is also popular with smaller parties who enjoy the privacy of their own shower and wc. A great value chalet, we offer a generous discount for filling the chalet.

Chalet board: cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course evening meal with unlimited wine at dinner, coffee and mints 5 nights a week. Champagne reception with canapés on Sunday evening, with canapés and fizz on every other catered evening. Cheeseboard once a week.

Food & Wine

Your day starts with freshly brewed tea or coffee (don’t worry, we bring real teabags from the UK) and a spread of fresh crusty baguette and jams, yoghurts, fruit, cereals and porridge on the table. The cooked breakfast menu changes every day but includes bacon, sausages, eggs, French toast, grilled tomato, succulent mushrooms, Heinz baked beans and HP sauce…

Once you’ve returned from your tough day on the slopes, homemade afternoon tea is served and favourites range from classic treats such as scones with cream and jam to squidgy brownies or raspberry and white chocolate cupcakes. In the evening we let our experienced hosts use their imaginations and the fantastic fresh produce we have to create a mouthwatering 3-course menu for the week.

Unlimited wine

Unlimited red, rosé and white wines (from bottles, not boxes!) are served through dinner, (with coffee and chocolates in the comfy seats after your meal!)

Wine Lovers' Package

If you’re a bit of a wine buff, you can pre-order our Wine Lover's Package which is just £48pp for 6 bottles of our upgraded selection - you choose whether you'd like 6 whites, 6 reds, our mixed selection or your very own combination of the above!

Special diets

Children are equally well looked after. If you wish your youngsters to have an earlier tea – all homemade, fresh and nutritious, of course – then please let us know in advance so we can pass the message on to your host.

If there’s anything you’d rather not eat, whether for moral, sensory or digestive reasons, please don’t hesitate to let us know before you travel. We won’t charge you a penny extra.

We update Chalet Le Sureau's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Divided into five villages - each known by its altitude - the Courchevel area provides a series of settings to suit different tastes, group make-ups and budgets. For pure, champagne-popping indulgence, Courchevel 1850 oozes exclusivity and no-limits luxury. It's the largest and highest of the villages and boasts a private airport, twelve Michelin stars between its restaurants, two palace hotels, and many designer boutiques. It's a seriously swanky stomping ground for the fashionable, famous and affluent. ...
Ideal for those at the genesis of their skiing career, 60% of slopes here are beginner-friendly. There's a 'Stop Zone' where learners can safely conquer the basics before hitting the slopes, and 4 beginner areas (called Zen Zones) where you can gently progress – find two in the main area and one each in Moriond and Le Praz. As part of the effort to make the resort child friendly, the Indiens piste focuses on fun for kids. Activities here include face painting, a treasure trail and many other activities around a...
Après ski in 1850 is the height of sophistication. Enjoy a cosy fireside cocktail in La Mangeoire piano bar or La Suite Bar & Louge; sample fine wine and champagne in Le P'tit Drink or go clubbing in Les Caves de Courchevel. Down in 1650, you can fully appreciate the stunning surroundings at The Signal bar. Les Schuss is good for a quiet drink in a traditional Savoyarde setting and if you're looking for live music and a vibrant atmosphere, try Rocky's and Bubble Bar. "Liked Sureau, and really like 1650"

We’d definitely be happy to go back to the Sureau, no complaints! We were lucky to have a very good chef; the food was great with a mix of different stuff throughout the week. Bedrooms simple and basic, but we knew that when we booked and you’re not in Courchevel to spend all day in your room! It has a pretty convenient location, a 5 minute walk to the piste. 1650’s definitely better than 1850, which is really expensive and snobby unless you have a ton of cash to blow!
