We had a good week! This was our first time staying in a catered chalet and I’d recommend a chalet holiday to anyone now! We’ll definitely look into booking a catered chalet again, possibly for sole occupancy so we can fill the place ourselves. The food was absolutely amazing, we didn’t pay a massive amount... + more

Location: where is Chalet Lapin de Neige

Courchevel Moriond. Chalets Lapin de Neige is in a tranquil location at the entrance to Courchevel Moriond (formerly Courchevel 1650), next to our chalets Ours and Ecureuil de Neige. This gives skiers the huge advantage of being able to choose where to ski - Moriond or Courchevel (formerly Courchevel 1850) via Courchevel Village (formerly Courchevel 1550). The ski bus to Village, which runs approximately every 20 minutes stops just across the road from the chalet. The chalet is also only 400m (approx.) from the new escalator which takes you straight to the centre of Moriond and the lifts. From here skiers can enjoy the traditionally less crowded slopes, which also have a reputation for being sunny yet holding the snow superbly. From Village, the telecabine takes skiers directly to the Croisette in Courchevel. The ski school in the Village is also the largest in the Courchevel area. The bars and restaurants of the lovely ‘real’ resort of Courchevel Moriond are only 500 metres (approx.) from our chalets.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Lapin de Neige description

Chalet Lapin de Neige is wood-panelled throughout and has a large attractive open fireplace. Much of the furniture is authentically French in style and is complemented by the window dressings, which together give this chalet an attractive rustic appearance. This, and the comfort of all rooms with en suite facilities, makes this chalet a real home-from-home and fantastic value for a resort of this calibre.

Divided into five villages - each known by its altitude - the Courchevel area provides a series of settings to suit different tastes, group make-ups and budgets. For pure, champagne-popping indulgence, Courchevel 1850 oozes exclusivity and no-limits luxury. It's the largest and highest of the villages and boasts a private airport, twelve Michelin stars between its restaurants, two palace hotels, and many designer boutiques. It's a seriously swanky stomping ground for the fashionable, famous and affluent. ...
Ideal for those at the genesis of their skiing career, 60% of slopes here are beginner-friendly. There's a 'Stop Zone' where learners can safely conquer the basics before hitting the slopes, and 4 beginner areas (called Zen Zones) where you can gently progress – find two in the main area and one each in Moriond and Le Praz. As part of the effort to make the resort child friendly, the Indiens piste focuses on fun for kids. Activities here include face painting, a treasure trail and many other activities around a...
Après ski in 1850 is the height of sophistication. "Had great holiday: great host, well looked after chalet"

Christopher, Oxfordshire
5/ out of 5
My wife and I had a really good holiday here – the chalet host was great and the chalet itself was absolutely fine, very clean and well looked after. It’s effectively a 5 bedroom house with 5 double rooms, so it’s nice and small. Really minor issue – the bedrooms were beautiful but they were small. We had 2 hard suitcases and there was nowhere to put them so it blocked the room up a bit for the week. I’d definitely stay here again, it didn’t put me off at all but if anyone else is planning to stay here, take a sports bag that you can squash under the bed so it doesn’t get in the way. The only other thing that could be a negative would be where the chalet is – but again this wouldn’t put me off staying here in the future. It’s on the far side of Courchevel, a little bit round the corner rather than in the centre, so can be quite a trek to get over to Meribel and to get back at the end of the day. As you ski back down to get home, you have to come down the main thoroughfare of Courchevel and keep zig-zagging and bearing right to get over. When you’re setting out in the morning, it’s sometimes easier to get the bus that stops outside the chalet to 1850, where you can then take the lift to Saulire.

"First time in a chalet and loved it"

We had a good week! This was our first time staying in a catered chalet and I’d recommend a chalet holiday to anyone now! We’ll definitely look into booking a catered chalet again, possibly for sole occupancy so we can fill the place ourselves. The food was absolutely amazing, we didn’t pay a massive amount and would have been happy with burgers and chips but fair play to Charlie our host who really upped his game with some great suppers. If you wanted something different, he’d make it for you no problem. The only thing was that we found the rooms a bit small but I know you don’t end up spending much time in them. The chalet is in Courchevel 1650 so it’s a bit of a walk to the middle of town but as it is you just have to go up 200m and catch an escalator, which wasn’t a problem at all.

Conveniently located next to a number of other quality chalets, including Ecureuil De Neige, you’ll be able to join your fellow ski and chalet lovers in the short journey down to the village centre, as well as the piste, as you enjoy the separation of ski, social and sleep in this beautiful little chalet village. In a wonderful confluence of fire and water, catch a tan as the sun bounces off the glimmering snow from the balcony. The snow conditions tend to hold well in the three valleys, so this is often a popular holiday for late season skiing and snowboarding trips.
