Lovely chalet! The food was excellent, really really good cooking from the lad in charge of the meals. It was kind of classic chalet food done to a very high standard. We did run out of a couple of things in the middle of the week but it wasn’t a big problem. It’s very convenient to the slopes. The building i... + more

Location: where is Chalet James

Chalet James is located just a few metres from the bottom of the Folyeres piste. The piste is accessed via some steps and a short, snowy path through the trees. From here you can clip on your skis for the short ski down to the La Tania télécabine or ski school meeting points.

La Tania’s village centre (with tourist information, shops, bars and restaurants) is just a 5 minute walk from the chalet, and ski school meeting points can also be accessed on foot within 5 minutes.

Nestled in the forests between Courchevel and Meribel offering excellent access to both resorts, La Tania is known as the Three Valleys' best-kept secret. Proud to be eco-friendly, the resort facilities are powered by a hydro-electric system and has a car-free centre. Despite its modernity, the village has been designed in-keeping with traditional wooden Savoyard architecture, integrated amongst the beautiful forest scenery. The local businesses are mostly Brit-owned, but visitors can still find very French si...

There are gentle green runs for novices from the top of the gondola all the way back down to the centre. The blue run ‘Folyères’ on the other side of the lifts is a great place to de...

Great value for money, prices are a fraction to those in other places. Pub Le Ski Lodge attracts most of the nightlife, hosting regular live music performances and themed nights. The crowds gather for happy hour, and they air the...

Lovely chalet! The food was excellent, really really good cooking from the lad in charge of the meals. It was kind of classic chalet food done to a very high standard. We did run out of a couple of things in the middle of the week but it wasn’t a big problem. It’s very convenient to the slopes. The building itself has probably seen better days but it’s fine. The big communal lounge was good. For what I paid I thought it was good value.
