The Residence Chalet Izia has all the freedom of self-catering without skimping on 5-star luxury, and the location’s great too. You’re right next to the piste so you can click straight into your skis in the morning, then cruise right back to your door in the evening. And it’s just a 10 minutes’ walk to the village centre for the Kids Village nursery and kindergarten and ski school meeting points.
The rooms have been finished to a very high standard, with patterned cushions, blankets and colourful artwork giving each apartment its own individual character. And as an added bonus some have granite fireplaces or woodburning stoves to keep you toasty. The large living area is great for snug nights in and the kitchenette has everything you need to cook up a tasty supper – or why not get in the alpine spirit and borrow a fondue or raclette kit from the reception?
It’s a good pick for families too. The separate en suite bedrooms and living room mean everybody has their own space, and you can find a kids’ corner and play area down in the lobby. The wellness area is family-friendly as well, with a special kids’ pool for the little ones and a hot tub, sauna and hammam for the adults.
