Alice was absolutely fantastic. As a group of eight mid-20 year olds I expect we weren't the tidiest group (nor the most punctual at breakfast- regularly appearing at 8.55am) but Alice always had a smile on her face. Alice made sure that our holiday was not only good, but completely wonderful. The food was great, her attitude to work was professional, but friendly, and I came back from the break feeling very relaxed and looked after. Particular mention to her apple and cinnamon cake which was delicious. + more

Location: where is Chalet Ingrid

Chalet Ingrid is set amongst the trees at the top of La Plagne 1800. It is a 5 minute walk to the village centre and the nearest chairlift is 380m away. The courtesy bus operates from the top of the steps leading to the chalet to take you the 2 minute ride to La Plagne Centre for skiing. Meanwhile the regular local bus service gives guests convenient direct access to Plagne Bellecôte, the departure point for the Bellecôte glacier, and to the 1800 village centre for those who prefer not to walk.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Ingrid description

Chalet Ingrid (Sleeps 8), Chalet Ingrid, La Plagne is a beautifully appointed ski chalet, tastefully furnished throughout. The split-level ground floor provides an elevated lounge level with comfortable seating and a log burning stove, creating a warm and cosy area to relax and socialise. The lounge and dining area are open plan with large French windows all round creating a light and airy living space with great panoramic views. The dining area opens onto a terrace – affording great vistas across the valley from La Plagne 1800 – and along with the chalet's private garden, offers a great outdoor area for guests to enjoy. Three of the chalet's bedrooms are particularly spacious with rooms 2 and 4 also opening onto balconies. Room 3 is more quirky, with its sloping roof and cosy feel. At the top of the stairs to the first floor landing there is a desk and seating area next to a big picture window with stunning views, which provides a quiet space for some peaceful relaxation or a comfortable spot to log on to the chalet's free Wi-Fi. Although Chalet Ingrid does not have en-suite facilities it has a spacious bathroom on the ground floor with a bath, walk-in shower and two sinks and there is another shower upstairs. Chalet Ingrid offers touches of real comfort in its electric boot warmers and of course its sauna (with its own shower) for really unwinding those muscles at the end of the day. The chalet is ideally suited to families and smaller groups.

The Chalet Ingrid host lives on the lower floor (separate entrance).

All rooms can take a cot except room 3. If booking the whole of Chalet Ingrid, an additional child's bed can be put in room 1 or 2. For a quote please contact our office.

Please note: We do not change towels mid week. Chalet hosts eat with guests.

In the French Alps' Savoie region, La Plagne was established in the early sixties and now consists of 11 villages: 7 purpose built villages and 4 traditional villages. The aptly named Plagne Centre at the heart of the resort is the main hub of shops, restaurants and après ski. Just underneath lies Plagne 1800, a cluster of chalets spread across a steep hillside. Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a l...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts and a wide choice of different ski schools for those new to skiing. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners. The blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin provides a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate skiers, La Plagne is paradise. 77% of the runs are graded either blue or red. Particular favourites are the run from La Grand Roch...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. Try snowmobiling at night, ice climbing in Champagny, husky sledding, paragliding, extreme tobogganing and more! One experience not to be missed is the bobsleigh track, used for Olympic training. There are various ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr up to a lightening 120...

"Great views and a lovely cosy interior"

Great views and a lovely cosy interior. Smix was an amazing Chalet host. Her cooking was first rate and she was always on time smiling and a pleasure to talk to. She made our holiday run more smoothly than anyone has before and coming back from a day on the hill to a note and one of her delicious cakes was absolutely brilliant. We really couldn't have wished for anything more in a host. A big thanks to Ben for our bus service in the mornings and pickups in the afternoon. It really helped get the day off to a good start. He was always punctual and gave us some great advice on pistes and the current and expected weather conditions.

Alice was absolutely fantastic. As a group of eight mid-20 year olds I expect we weren't the tidiest group (nor the most punctual at breakfast- regularly appearing at 8.55am) but Alice always had a smile on her face. Alice was full of information and advised us on which pistes to travel to, which restaurant to eat at on Wednesday and what activities to do. Along with Kate, who was also fantastic and as helpful and pleasant a rep as we could hope for, our stay was made as good as we could have hoped for and we will definitely be recommending these chalets to others (as we have already done so).
