The ghetto of chalets. There is no door on the twin bathroom, so I hope you don't mind watching people shower. Concusion every time you get out of bed, broken shower door, tiny rooms, no hot water and every looks like it was slapped together with off cuts of wood. Not worth visiting or paying for. Location: where is Chalet Ibex

Save all your energy for the pistes, because everything else in the multi-award winning resort of Val Thorens is a breeze. The 2,300 metre high resort is a true all-rounder. Its scenery is spectacular. Its après ski, fantastic, and its skiing convenience is hard to beat. Nowhere in Val Thorens is far from anything, and Chalet Ibex is no exception.

Chalet Ibex is located in a quiet part of Val Thorens in the Chalet des Neiges residence, one of the highest residences in the French Alps. You can ski back to within 200m of the Chalet Des Neiges residence, and ski from 300m.

The apartment is positioned on the third floor of Chalet B in the Des Neiges Residence. Access to the chalet from the reception is via an elevator to level three, a short walk via an external stairwell brings you to the entrance of Chalet B. The swimming pool and sauna are on this level, and Chalet Ibex is on the third floor, accessible by stairwell.

Perfectly positioned close to the slopes, there are also pubs, restaurants and shops galore, all located within a few minutes’ walk from your door.

A 7 minute downhill walk from the residence will bring beginners to the beginner area, alternatively there is a bus stop 300m away from the Chalet des Neiges residence.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Ibex description

Chalet Ibex is the highest chalet style apartment in the French Alps, it is split over two floors and accommodates up to twelve guests. This chalet offers modern decor and boasts an open plan communal living area with wonderful views of the piste. The lounge has comfortable sofas ideal for relaxing after the exertions on the slopes. Your chalet host will be on hand throughout your holiday serving wonderful hearty food and ready and willing to advise on ski conditions and what to do and where to go, they will offer a wealth of knowledge to ensure that you get the best out of your ski holiday.

As a chalet style apartment, the Chalet Ibex is ideal for families or groups taking over the apartment due to its shared facilities and cosy communal areas, although we are happy to sell on an individual room basis if requested.

Chalet Ibex also has the added advantage of being situated in Chalet des Neiges Residence, giving guests of Chalet Ibex access to the indoor heated swimming pool and the ten man sauna. This great array of extra facilities makes a real difference, particularly if there are non-skiers in your group or simply as an added extra for the little ones in the evening time.

Scrumptious homemade cakes and a choice of teas are provided every day, best enjoyed while you relax in the lounge area in front of the log fire.

Dietary Requirements

We strive to ensure that your specific dietary requirements and preferences are catered for as best we can. Please let us know at least 14 days prior to your holiday start date, to ensure that this is possible. Our team can cater for special dietary requirements be they for medical reasons, religious reasons or simply personal preference. Our chalet hosts will be advised of these requirements in advance of your stay and every effort will be made to ensure that they are met. However, we cannot guarantee that certain ingredients will not be in the environment nor can we guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur.

Children's Food

Children aged 11 and under will be served High Tea at around 6pm. This is provided at no extra cost and ensures that your child's normal routine is not disturbed: soft drinks or milk are served with the meal. It also ensures that adults can enjoy their evening meal, which is served at 8pm. If you have booked a whole chalet then you can eat together - please speak to your chalet hosts on arrival.

The Festive Season

An Alpine chalet is a wonderful place to spend the festive season. We provide Christmas trees and decorations. On the day itself, you can look forward to aperitifs, turkey with all the trimmings, flaming Christmas pudding, mince pies, and of course, Christmas crackers. For New Year most of our resorts will have torch-lit descents, fireworks and other celebrations. Alternatively, you could just enjoy New Year's Eve dinner in your chalet with a glass or two of fizz.

We update Chalet Ibex's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

2300m at the top of the Three Valleys ski area, VT is the highest ski resort in Europe and part of the biggest linked ski area on the planet. While it's a place for people who, above all else, love to ski, you'll also find some of the country's best après including the legendary Folie Douce, as well as weird and wonderful activities like the 1300m Tyrolienne zip wire. Olde worlde gallic charm it isn't, but skiers will wake up to find some of the best snow in the Alps on their doorstep, and the views over the...
At the summit of the largest ski area in the world and bordering the Vanoise National Park, this is a spectacular place to ski and board. Beginners are well catered for on nursery slopes by the Rond Point des Pistes, where the magic carpets often don't require a lift pass. Kids will love the Junior Park, while the Musaraigne and Campagnols runs in the beginner's area and the new Deux Combes green are perfect to practice on. The après ski here easily rivals other top resorts in the Alps. If you haven't already had the Folie Douce experience, head just under the Plein Sud lift where the "dancefloor on top of the world" is heaving from 3 pm. Another place to party is Bar 360 at the end of the blue Moraine run, which always has live music and cheaper drinks. Back in town, Rue de Gebroulaz is a hub of lively bars where O'Connells is the local Irish pub. The Frog and Roastbeef is a long-time favourite of Brits. L'Eclipse on Galerie Caro...

Honestly a massive disappointment. I'm shocked by the poor quality of this slum.
