The Everest is the most superb penthouse apartment in Courchevel 1650 set in a commanding position with absolutely fantastic views.
Lovingly built and furnished by its English owners during the summer of 2016, every last detail has been thought through and it offers wonderful Alpine surroundings but with a modern, quite contemporary feel. All bedrooms are ensuite (some under eaves) with superb modern and new bathroom fixtures and fittings.
Being situated on the top floor of this attractive Savoyarde building, the high eaves provide a real feeling of space in the living/dining room with spectacular views in three different dircections. There is plentiful sofa seating for all and a wonderful open log fire where one can enjoy a lovely slice of freshly baked cake or perhaps a chilled glass of wine after a hard day on the slopes. The Everest is positioned just back from the main street in a peaceful yet central location and the many bars, restaurants, shops and importantly, main bubble lift are just a straight-forward 4-5 minute walk away. You will be welcomed to The Everest by one of our friendly chalet hosts who will, at times, have the help of a combi-host during your stay and who lives out.
Did You Know... it goes without saying that Everest is the highest mountain in the world, but did you know that it forms part of the Mahalangur mountain range that spans both Nepal and Tibet and its peak stands at a huge 8,848 metres.
We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.
Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.
If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.
Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.
