Location: where is Chalet Eaglet

Situated in a quiet, elevated location with lovely views across St. Anton, it is around an 8 minute downhill walk to the resort centre, main slopes and ski lifts. To make life even easier, our guests can store their equipment for a small weekly charge (half price if rented) at our Rental Shop in the resort centre close to the Galzig/Gampen lift. If you really don't fancy an uphill walk at the end of the day, then jump on the ski bus which stops close by. Next door is the Hotel Fahrner with the welcoming Andreas Fahrner, this has proved very popular for dinner on chalet staff night off.

Distance to slopes: 8 minutes downhill walk. Distance to resort centre: 8 minutes downhill walk.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Eaglet description

Local architect Karl Fahrner created our Chalet Eagles Nest from his former family home and next door to the family hotel. At the same time he designed himself a rather unique and wonderful apartment spread over two floors for his own St. Anton residence. Our photographer told us this was one of the loveliest chalets he had come across (he's seen a few so this is praise indeed!) with a wonderful feeling and very spacious, in his own words it had the "Wow" factor so we are delighted to be able to offer this chalet to our guests.

Sleeping just six guests but with an abundance of space, Chalet Eaglet is modern with a lovely spacious open plan living area of just over 45 square metres. There is even the benefit of a large central fireplace which is quite unusual in St. Anton. The dining table is surrounded by picture windows giving gorgeous views. The three bedrooms have either ensuite or private facilities, one of which is a large master bedroom with a walk in wardrobe. The final "piece de resistance" is the outdoor hot tub for our guests to enjoy at the end of their ski day.

**For larger groups, think about combining Chalet Eaglet with its sister chalet next door, Eagles Nest. The two chalets combined can sleep up to 18 guests and mix and match your dining partners each evening!**

Families: Chalet Eaglet for children

Children in our chalets

We welcome children in any of our chalets at any time throughout the season regardless of whether you are a group taking over the whole chalet or individual bookings into a larger chalet.

  • Our generous special reductions apply throughout the season
  • Selected family rooms with half price for under 12s.
  • The same reductions apply to all your children (not just the first two!).
  • Our child discount applies whether your children share your room or not.
  • Children enjoying discounts are still counted towards group discounts.

(Child discounts do not apply to late availability/reduced price holidays)

For all children under the age of 12 years we offer a generous 10% discount , however in selected chalets and family rooms, children can go at half price. All discounted children enjoy our child friendly early supper which our chalet staff will provide at approximately 6pm, (a parent must be on hand to oversee their child). This will be a two course meal with tasty (& healthy!) dishes such as shepherd’s pie, pasta bakes and casseroles followed by fruit, ice cream, crumbles etc. We encourage parents to chat to our chalet staff prior to their arrival to discuss their children’s meals. If you are taking over a whole chalet and would prefer your children to join the normal adult dinner then there is a supplement of £50 per child per week, please advise us of this at least two weeks prior to your departure. If you are in a shared chalet then we expect children under 12 to have the early supper. The only exception is Christmas dinner and sometimes meals on arrival night if you are arriving late.

We charge £100 for babies under the age of 2. Subject to their availability, we can provide travel cots and high chairs if required, please ensure you bring your own baby sleeping bag or blankets and a harness if required for high chairs. Flight seats are not included and car seats are not provided on our coach transfers. However baby seats are available on private taxi transfers, please ask for prices for private transfers. We do not provide jars or formula but your chalet host will happily keep some fruit/veg to one side and make a puree for your baby. Breakfast and children's supper is available to older babies who can manage normal solid foods.

All our chalets have tv’s and dvd players so please feel free to bring your own selection of dvd’s and also a selection of general board games.

Please bear in mind that our chalets/chalet hotels are not equipped to be child safe, there won't be stair gates or socket covers for example, bunk beds may not have guard rails and not all chalets have microwaves if you need these for sterilising bottles etc. Please make sure you are familiar with the chalet layout and location of bedrooms and bear in mind that entrances maybe shared with other residents. Children's behaviour and their safety remain the sole responsibility of their parents at all times.

Facilities: Chalet Eaglet features

Internet/wifi is available free of charge in all of our chalets, however, in most instances belongs to the chalet owner so its availability is outside of our control. Please bear in mind that in the mountains, signal strength can vary, may not always be that strong or suitable for large amounts of streaming. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it will be operative or that there will be continuous and uninterrupted connection. In the event of technical or other issues preventing access, no refund or compensation will be paid! Bear in mind that access may not be available throughout the chalet and maybe in communal areas only. We recommend that if accessing the net or downloading is essential during your holiday, you have your own data/roaming package for back up or make use of a local internet shop.

Sauna/steam rooms/pools/hot tubs & jacuzzis - Should these facilities become unavailable for any reason, we cannot guarantee being able to replace parts or repair it during your holiday but will obviously do our best. We do not offer compensation for inconvenience or curtailed use in such event!. Please note that particularly for those chalets with outdoor hot tubs, there are local rules and regulations with regards noise and respect for neighbours. For this reason, their use is not allowed after dinner.

NB: Use of chalet domestic hot tubs is subject to local laws, we cannot be held responsible if these should change

If you have sole use of a chalet and you would prefer your children to eat a normal dinner with you at 8pm there is a £50 upgrade. For those in a shared chalet it is generally expected that under 12s would have the early supper.

We update Chalet Eaglet's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. There's a nurs...
The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh). While it's reputation is lively (and the resort lives up to it) there are lots of options if you prefer a more so...
