Chalet Danielle is on the ground floor with a spacious open plan living and dining area. Plenty of comfy settees invite you to sit and relax with the added bonus of an open fireplace to relax in front of, canapes and aperitif to hand..... The bedrooms are fairly typical of French developments with space at a premium, so whilst not on the spacious side, they are all ensuite with most having baths and three of them open on to the terrace.
To keep you entertained at the end of your ski day, the chalet benefits from a leisure area on the lower floor which includes a games room with a pool table. To really help you relax and ease any aching muscles, you can take advantage of the sauna and steam room and best of all take a dip in the hot tub on the large outdoor terrace.
We are confident this lovely chalet will prove popular for guests looking to be in the perfect piste side location. It will also appeal to Families due to the ease of access to the slopes and also to ski school - you can literally walk out from your chalet and ski away! Don't forget we have 3 other chalet apartments within this building so ideal for larger groups to book together.
We are delighted to be able to offer this chalet apartment, part of our Legettaz collection of chalets within the traditional style Praz de la Legettaz Residence. Boasting a fantastic ski location right beside the piste with a very gentle track leading straight to the main lifts, it is perfect for getting to ski school or for keen skiers you can be on first lifts within a minute of clicking on your skis. You can either ski back to the chalet or if you do take the bus, the stop is literally a few steps from the door. The resort centre can be easily accessed either walking across the nursery slopes in around 10 minutes or you can always take the local bus which runs every 15 minutes during the day connecting with the main resort buses which run constantly.
Val d'Isere is a great family resort, wide nursery slopes with free lifts and a huge choice of ski schools with plenty of English speaking instructors. There are two cinemas usually with English language films showing, an indoor swimming pool, outdoor ice rink, dog sleding and even visits to the local dairy farm with cheese making!
Children in our chalets
We welcome children in any of our chalets at any time throughout the season regardless of whether you are a group taking over the whole chalet or individual bookings into a larger chalet.
(Child discounts do not apply to late availability/reduced price holidays)
For all children under the age of 12 years we offer a generous 10% discount , however in selected chalets and family rooms, children can go at half price. All discounted children enjoy our child friendly early supper which our chalet staff will provide at approximately 6pm, (a parent must be on hand to oversee their child). This will be a two course meal with tasty (& healthy!) dishes such as shepherd’s pie, pasta bakes and casseroles followed by fruit, ice cream, crumbles etc. We encourage parents to chat to our chalet staff prior to their arrival to discuss their children’s meals. If you are taking over a whole chalet and would prefer your children to join the normal adult dinner then there is a supplement of £50 per child per week, please advise us of this at least two weeks prior to your departure. If you are in a shared chalet then we expect children under 12 to have the early supper. The only exception is Christmas dinner and sometimes meals on arrival night if you are arriving late. We charge £100 for babies under the age of 2. Subject to their availability, we can provide travel cots and high chairs if required, please ensure you bring your own baby sleeping bag or blankets and a harness if required for high chairs. Flight seats are not included and car seats are not provided on our coach transfers. However baby seats are available on private taxi transfers, please ask for prices for private transfers. We do not provide jars or formula but your chalet host will happily keep some fruit/veg to one side and make a puree for your baby. Breakfast and children's supper is available to older babies who can manage normal solid foods. All our chalets have tv’s and dvd players so please feel free to bring your own selection of dvd’s and also a selection of general board games. Please bear in mind that our chalets/chalet hotels are not equipped to be child safe, there won't be stair gates or socket covers for example, bunk beds may not have guard rails and not all chalets have microwaves if you need these for sterilising bottles etc. Please make sure you are familiar with the chalet layout and location of bedrooms and bear in mind that entrances maybe shared with other residents. Children's behaviour and their safety remain the sole responsibility of their parents at all times.
We don't provide any child care facilities ourselves however there are two local nurseries.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast to fuel your day on the slopes, choose from a selection of cereals (not forgetting a bowl of Skiers porridge!), fresh fruit and yoghurts, freshly baked local bread and choice of preserves accompanied by fruit juices, tea and coffee. In addition, apart from chalet staff day off and change over day, and assuming you have the room, enjoy a varied cooked breakfast such as eggs, bacon and beans or pancakes.
On your return from the slopes, pop the kettle on and help yourself to a teatime treat with a slice (or two!) of delicious home-made cake or biscuits.
Just imagine a casual dinner party with friends, now imagine that minus the stress of shopping, cooking, clearing up, ordering taxis, organising babysitters...... well now you can! Relax, your evening starts around 7.30pm swapping some ski tales and banter over canapes and aperitif followed by a delicious freshly cooked dinner with unlimited house wine until coffee to finish.
Our Chalet staff always aim to please and create menus everybody likes. If given notice they are happy within reason to adapt their menus to your specific tastes and dietary requests but please do bear in mind that chalets are mostly private houses and do not have vast kitchens or teams of chefs to cope with cooking separate meals for everyone!. We provide a vegetarian alternative for guests that don't eat meat or that evening choice of meat or fish. Please ensure that we know about any dietary requests (whether by choice or for health or religion) including gluten or dairy free well in advance of your holiday - if you wait until a couple of days before arrival or even wait until you are in resort, it may take days to source particular products, if at all. Our chalet staff obviously aim to please and ensure you have a tasty selection of food through the week but you must be happy to compromise with our chalet menu and accept that we cannot offer a completely alternative menu for you and you may see the same cake or treat more than once!. We encourage you to chat to our chalet staff to discuss your request and they will be in touch with you during the week prior to your arrival to run through the menu and to advise with regards bringing any items with. Please note, we cannot provide totally vegan meals or kosher and cannot guarantee a nut free environment.
We provide a child friendly supper with two courses of home cooked and nutritious food, at around 6pm for all children under 12years. We encourage you to chat to your chalet staff before arrival with regards your childrens meals so they know they are on the right track with their menu! If you have sole use of a chalet and you would prefer your children to eat a normal dinner with you at 8pm there is a £50 upgrade. For those in a shared chalet it is generally expected that under 12s would have the early supper. Please click here for a sample menu.
Picnic Lunches - Keep your Euro spending to the minimum and instead order one of our good value picnic lunches available locally from your chalet staff. A tasty filled baguette/roll, piece of fruit, can of drink and a choccie bar should keep hunger pangs at bay!
