Location: where is Chalet Christine

Chalet Christine is located in the ‘Chalet Quarter’ of La Tania, in a convenient location for both piste and village access.

The pedestrian elevator to piste level is located in the building next door. From the bottom of the elevator you are in La Tania village (for access to the shops, restaurants, bars and ski shops), or you can head around the corner to the La Tania télécabine or the ski school meeting points. From the top of the télécabine, you can access both Courchevel and Meribel valleys, and very quickly find yourself in the heart of the vast Three Valleys ski area!

There is a private driveway at the chalet available for guest parking. Snow chains are advised due to the slope, and please be aware that the whole driveway may not be accessible in all conditions during winter.

Nestled in the forests between Courchevel and Meribel offering excellent access to both resorts, La Tania is known as the Three Valleys' best-kept secret. Proud to be eco-friendly, the resort facilities are powered by a hydro-electric system and has a car-free centre. Despite its modernity, the village has been designed in-keeping with traditional wooden Savoyard architecture, integrated amongst the beautiful forest scenery. The local businesses are mostly Brit-owned, but visitors can still find very French si...
Long green, blue and red tree-lined slopes overlook the village, and the Three Valleys provides a ginormous amount of opportunities for all different abilities. You can make your way over to Courchevel and Meribel on skis alone. There is a wide range of ski and snowboard schools offering group and private lessons for all ages. There are gentle green runs for novices from the top of the gondola all the way back down to the centre. The blue run ‘Folyères’ on the other side of the lifts is a great place to de...
After a day on the slopes, La Tania is a peaceful base to unwind in. The atmosphere is mostly quiet and relaxed, but some après fun can be found. Le Bouc Blanc is a popular restaurant at the top of the gondola from the village, ideal for relaxing in the sun with a drink on a deckchair. Great value for money, prices are a fraction to those in other places. Pub Le Ski Lodge attracts most of the nightlife, hosting regular live music performances and themed nights. The crowds gather for happy hour, and they air the...

"Looked after handsomely"

Eurig
4/ out of 5
As for the week itself, we were looked after handsomely by the Chalet Christine team and all 14 of us had a fabulous time. The service was great and the food fantastic and the four of them should be complemented on the way they looked after their guests. To provide food of that quality to 28 or so people with the size of kitchen they have to work with (by the way that's not a criticism) is a phenomenal achievement. I should also add, as the week went on, our children spent a lot more time with the four of them during the early evenings chatting away and asking any number of questions (mainly personal) and despite being interrupted whilst preparing the evening meal to 17 hungry adults, they had all the time in the world to indulge them.

"An enormous success"

Polly

I am writing on behalf of everyone in our group having just returned from La Tania. We all wanted to let you know that our holiday at Chalet Christine was an enormous success due mainly to the fact that the Chalet worked so perfectly for us and that the staff there were quite simply the best we have encountered anywhere! They really are a superb team and we could not fault them on anything. They were permanently cheerful, helpful, tolerant, considerate, fun, and just about any positive adjective you would like to add! The chalet layout worked very well for us especially being able to separate the two sitting rooms (especially as we seemed to have hundreds of children and inherited several more!) which was a godsend. Everyone was very happy with the bedrooms once the eaves had been negotiated! There was always hot water, beds etc were comfortable, everything was kept beautifully clean. The food was great and was enjoyed by everyone especially the cakes which disappeared at unbelievable speed. We were lucky with the weather, and the snow was mainly excellent, so skiing was fantastic.

"Fantastic"

The chalet was lovely, warm and welcoming when we arrived and it stayed that way. The breakfasts were out of this world and there was always plenty of afternoon tea and cakes and a wonderful 3 course dinner to look forward to. The chef really did wonders in the kitchen! We thought the chalet was in a great position for the skiing and the centre of La Tania as it was so close to the public lift

"Wonderful week"

Becky

We have been going to La Tania for about the last 6 years or so and I have to say that this has been one of the best weeks yet. The Chalet was just perfect for us, especially with the two living rooms (one kids, one adults). It was all immaculately clean and very comfortable. The resort manager was very efficient and helpful with everything he did for us. The chalet supervisor was the perfect chalet host, nothing too much trouble and very keen to help out. The food exceeded expectations, always on time, fresh, hot and delicious. All in all we had a great holiday.
