Overview: chalet description: Chalet Chanteclair B description

Like its sister and neighbour The Chanteclair A, The Chanteclair B is situated in one of the best locations for skiing in Meribel. Perched by the side of the Rhodos ski run in the exclusive Belvedere area of the resort, it is an easy ski down to the Chaudanne from where all the main lifts depart. It truly is ski in/ski out.

This lovely ground floor apartment makes for comfortable accommodation with a real ‘home from home' feel. All bedrooms are ensuite, including the small bunk bedroom. The open-plan living/dining area has a lovely fireplace and large sliding doors which lead onto a covered terrace with views across the valley to the ski area beyond.

Access to the village centre with its many bars, restaurants, shops and Chaudanne with its Olympic Sports Centre are all accessible via the local free bus which runs regularly from Belvedere and Rond Point running until approximately midnight. The infamous Ronnie Bar is closeby with its fantastic apres ski atmosphere and regular live music making this a superb choice for small groups or families looking to maxiise their time on the slopes. Chanteclair B is run by one our of superb Chalet Hosts who lives out. (See other accommodation like this)

Did You Know: Chanteclair B is owned by a lovely Irish family who frequent this wonderful apartment and resort regularly, so you may be lucky enough to meet them on their travels for a nice glass of wine perhaps!

Meals: Chalet Chanteclair B food & drink

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet Chanteclair B's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...

"Brilliant for us!"

Chalet host Jane was brilliant; I can’t speak highly enough of her. The chalet is in a really good spot near the Rhodos so you can get out straight away on skis, while the little ones who couldn’t ski at the beginning of the week could get down easily too. We like the Rond Point area as it has the ski school and nursery, and you can get out on the slope easily before everyone else which is great. The chalet is well equipped and the food was good. Bedrooms are always tight in chalets but these had enough storage space and the set up worked well for us as a family. I would recommend it to anyone.
