Chalet Amanjena is a superb property set in a peaceful location, yet is in straight-forward walking access to the centre of Meribel.
This wonderfully traditional Alpine chalet has been lovingly finished and furnished with comfort and space in mind. The open plan living/dining room is really impressive and is centred around an amazing open log fire, in front of which you can enjoy a well earned gass of wine or two after a strenuous day on the slopes. Or perhaps even better, while away those aches and pains in the beautiful outdoor hot-tub or sauna!
We operate a complimentary minibus service to/from Chaudanne lift station at set times during the morning and afternoons so access to the skiing is very easy. Alternatively the local resort bus stops nearby for times outside this. The main square of Meribel is about a 10 minute walk away so the various cocktail bars, nightspots and restaurants are all within striking distance.
The French interior designer owner has used original timber and sumptuous furnishings to create a wonderful and traditional Savoyard-style freestanding chalet offering 6 bedrooms, all of which have ensuite facilities. Off the living room there is an open sunny terrace with superb views. All in all, Chalet Amanjena offers whole groups the ideal opportunity to really treat themselves to a superb chalet holiday which whilst a little more expensive than some of our remaining portfolio, actually offers superb value in comparison to other properties of a similar ilk. You will be warmly welcomed to Amanjena by two of our friendly chalet hosts (most likely a couple) who live out.
Did You Know: The word Amanjena means "peaceful paradise", we think it describes this beautiful chalet perfectly.
We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.
Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.
If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.
Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.
