In the house: reception, bar, bistro, lift, storage room for skis, washing machine, tumble dryer (extra). Bread roll service on request. Motor access to the house. Parking (limited number of spaces) at the house. Shop 150 m, grocery 260 m, supermarket 550 m, restaurant 100 m, bar 50 m, bakery 150 m, café 100 m, outdoor swimming pool 4 km. Mountain railway 450 m, skisport facilities 400 m, cross country ski track 500 m. Nearby attractions: Swarovski Kristallwelten, Altstadt Innsbruck, Rattenberg, Wörgler Wasserwelt 10 km, Kitzbühel 20 km. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: Hohe Salve 400 m. With narrow cobbled streets winding their way around chalet-style buildings and a magnificent baroque church, you'd be forgiven for thinking that you'd stumbled into an Austrian-themed Christmas card in this old Tyrolean market town. In actual fact, you're in the middle of the mammoth SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental - the largest lift linked ski area in the country, connecting the village to the better-known resort of Söll and 6 other resorts besides. The local skiing here is best suited to intermediates but with access across the SkiWelt circuit, stronger skiers can cover a lot of mountainside. First-timers are well accommodated on the gentle nursery slopes by the village. If you love cruising the blues, take piste 27 which is a gorgeous, gentle run through the trees. There are only a few bars and after dinner most of the entertainment is focused in the big hotels.
