Overview - apartment description - Aurora Apartmenthaus description

The Aurora Apartmenthaus is a great little self catering option deep in the heart of Bad Hofgastein.

The location couldn't be much better. In the centre of town you've got all the main amenities of Bad Hofgastein virtually on your doorstep - from great restaurants and bars for a night out, supermarkets for picking up dinner for a night in or the Alpentherme spa for a night of pampering.

The ski bus stop stops nearby for whizzing you to the various parts of the Gastein Valley - making it simple to explore the full ski area. Otherwise it's about a 10-minute walk to the Schlossalm lifts for access to the largest linked section of the Gasteinertal.

Choose from spacious studios that comfortably sleep 3 people to larger apartments for a bit of extra privacy for the whole family. Many of the apartments have separate lounges and bedrooms plus south facing balconies for making the most of the sun. They've also got high quality modern furnishings with a classic Alpine touch - that look great - well equiped built-in kitchenettes and free WiFi.

The resort itself is a traditional, chocolate-box Austrian town that is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing ski break. The skiing is considered world class - as the largest resort in The Gastein Valley, with access to four other ski resorts, you’ll find hugely varied terrain here. There are slopes to suit everyone and over the course of your ski break there will be no need to ski the same slope twice! The runs range from gentle slopes for lower level intermediates to very challenging descents that will get even the most seasoned skier excited. There is an efficient and modern lift system and the icing on the cake is access to t...
While the après here is fairly quiet compared to other “party resorts” it’s considered the best town in the Gastein Valley for nightlife. Piccolo is a popular après ski bar based in the centre of town – after braving a few tequilas you’ll spend all night dancing on tables to retro classics. If dancing on tables sounds a bit energetic after a day on the slopes, Kamunbar is perfect for a more relaxed evening enjoying a drink accompanied by live music. Head to Vision for the ultimate night out that’ll leave...
