Overview: hotel description: Alpenhotel St. Christoph description

Meal Basis: Half-Board
Centrally-located in the snowsure ski village of St. Christoph am Arlberg at an altitude of 1800m, the 4* Alpenhotel is a ski-in, ski-out hotel under 100m from the lift and centre and is ideally suited to those who are seeking excellent skiing on the doorstep (305km of wonderful pisted runs plus very extensive off piste) without the crazy nightlife of neighbouring St Anton.
You'll discover a fairly relaxed atmosphere in the evenings, though there are a number of lively bars and sun terraces once skiing has finished. You have the option of skiing over and down into St Anton during the day and there's a ski bus which can you bring you back, should you decide to partake in some legendary après-ski and miss the last lift home (the bus conveniently stops 50m from the hotel).
The hotel offers comfortable public areas and is classically styled throughout. There are 35 spacious and bright bedrooms, including double/twin rooms and family rooms, all with en-suite bathroom with shower or bath tub and WC, telephone, radio, TV, hair-dryer, safe and minibar. Most rooms have great views over the surrounding mountains thanks to the hotel's elevated position.
The hotel features extensive facilities including a restaurant, bar, dining room, ski storage and Wi-Fi. On the lower floor you'll find the excellent spa area with steam baths, a solarium and a number of different saunas. Massages and treatments are available and can be booked on the spot.
Your short break package will be reserved on a half-board basis. This includes a welcome drink on arrival, a fabulous buffet breakfast each morning plus a 6-course dinner with salad and cheese buffet – we don't anticipate you'll be going hungry at the Alpenhotel!
Please note that local taxes of €2 per person per night will need to be paid direct to the hotel on departure.

Part of the Arlberg ski area, St Christoph sits on the Arlberg pass – down the road from Zurs and on the other side of the Galzig mountain from the epic St. Anton and its world-renowned après-ski. With a convenient position between the two, this is a brilliant place if you want to explore the Arlberg area at both ends. It made its name when, in the 14th century, Heinrich Findelkind raised money for a hospice to shelter travellers from harsh conditions. With Innsbruck airport only 100km away, you won’t ne...
Getting lessons is the best way to learn and develop your confidence here. Several independent instructors offer fantastic tuition and Ski Schule Arlberg have offices in St. Christoph - their children’s area has a playground, magic carpets and a drag lift where little ones can get to know their skis. The nursery pistes in nearby Rendl are gentle and tend to be quite quiet. There are nice short blues in the village labelled 8A and served by the Maiensee lift. Once you’ve mastered these, Blue 8 leads all the w...
Considering its size it’s not surprising that St. Christoph isn’t a party capital - with a few high end bars, the village has a very intimate vibe. However, St. Anton’s legendary après ski is nearby if you want to turn things up a little. Most of any après-ski in St. Christoph revolves around the Arlberg Hospiz Hotel. It has a number of restaurants including the Sun Terrace, Tyrolean Restaurant and the Hospiz Alm Chalet. This really is fine dining – the Hospiz Alm has been awarded two toques – a presti...
