Overview: hotel description: Alpen Village Hotel description

The Alpen Village Hotel is actually a well-connected complex made up of seven different chalet-style buildings, perfectly situated next to the Teola chairlift and the bustling Mottolino slopes. It's gone through some extensive renovations over the last couple of years and it's really upped the luxury factor.

The wellness area is particularly enticing with an indoor swimming pool, indoor and outdoor saunas and an amazing fitness room. Once you've finished having a soak and a swim, check out the in-house restaurant which offers up a huge range of Italian, Valtellina and local Livigno specialties like homemade pasta and cakes, as well as over 250 (yes, 250) wines!

Don't forget the Panoramic bar for a relaxing aperitivo with a view. And if you're looking to head into the resort centre, a convenient free hotel-run ski bus stop is just outside of the hotel doors.

Families: Alpen Village Hotel for children

The hotel has a lot to offer families, starting with the free hotel-run mini and junior clubs for kids aged four to eight and nine to 12. The clubs run from 9.30am to 12pm, 3pm to 6.30pm and, unlike most clubs, they also run in the evenings from 8.30 to 10pm so parents can have a little holiday date night!

The hotel's entertainment team also organise daily activities and shows at scheduled (day)times throughout the week. Kids will also love the bright and bustling playroom, with a huge array of toys and games and even an entire games room to keep them occupied. It's a very family friendly place.

Some of the rooms also have a balcony for taking in those stunning mountain views.

We update Alpen Village Hotel's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Previously voted 'Best European Resort' at the World Snow Awards, Livigno is a snow-sure mountain town, much loved by skiers from Europe and beyond. Stretching 10km along the Spöl valley with mountains on either side and bordering Switzerland's famous ski classic St Moritz, this is a place you'll find authentic alpine charm in every nook and cranny with a friendly, cosmopolitan atmosphere. It's not just the high slopes, and attractive village that makes Livigno so hugely popular – its tax-free status is a m...
Various schools like Centrale offer various lessons - from playtime tuition for tots to freestyle sessions if you want to crank things up a bit. Kids will love the Yepi trail, which is dedicated to little legs with obstacles and toys. Gentle blues can be accessed from resort height, so beginners won’t be heading up any mountains without getting a feel for the snow first. Short blue runs served by draglifts from the resort fringes are great for practising before you tackle the longer blues from Vletta Blessac...
With low and cheerful prices when it comes to drinks thanks to Livigno’s duty-free prices, you’ll find some pretty amazing après ski. There’s always a party going down at the ever-popular Daphne’s Pub – a favourite with Brits for its authentic Baita interior, Irish-influenced après, super cocktail menu and legendary Bombardino beverage (you can’t say you’ve experienced Italian après without trying one of these). For a more sophisticated evening, pop into one of the hotels like la Casetta and soak up th...
