Overview: hotel description: A-Rosa Resort Kitzbühel description

The incredible A-Rosa Resort really is regal. This Tyrolean-style castle crowns the Kitzbühel valley and provides absolute luxury at every turn.

The A-Rosa is only a short walk away from the resort centre, but really, the resort is in its own perfect bubble – you’ll find everything you need here to make your stay extra special. It is a bit further away from the slopes than some other properties in the resort, but don’t fret, as the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle bus to whisk you to and from the ski lifts each morning and afternoon.

You’ll also be treated to stunning panoramic views of the gorgeous lake and Wilder Kaiser Mountains from your window every day, as well as the famous ski run, Streif, which they’ve named their restaurant after. Here is where you’ll enjoy your half-board meals – you’ll get to pick what you like from a rich a delicious buffet, full of fresh produce, at both breakfast and dinner. There are also themed evenings throughout the week, as well as a children’s buffet and even show cooking.

If, one night, you want a change of scenery, then head to the other onsite restaurant, Kaps Steakhouse, for a delicious à la carte meal under the wooden-beamed ceilings. Make sure you sample one of their mouth-watering meat dishes, cooked on their unique charcoal grill, which is nicknamed ‘The Big Green Egg’.

Après wouldn’t be après without a drink, so head to the Bar am Markplatz for a zingy cocktail or glass of wine, and visit the outdoor terrace bar for even more of those breathtaking mountain views.

One of the most defining features of the A-Rosa is its 3,000m2spa. Spread over two floors, you can relax in an opulent indoor/outdoor pool, detox in one of the seven themed saunas and steam rooms, or sink into heaven on one of the water beds in the tranquillity room. A variety of treatments are also on offer, including Japanese-inspired treatments in the Sensai Lounge.

And after all that, you can retire to your room – a spacious retreat decorated to the highest standard in a modern Tyrolean style.

You'll find some convenient nursery slopes near the Hahnenkammbahn lift, a beginner zone in Jochberg and a sunny nursery area high up on the Horn. For first-timers, the Horn has some cruisey blue runs and lots of undemanding pistes, including t...
Austrian après ski is arguably the best there is and Kitzbühel certainly doesn't let the nation down. The nightlife is vibrant and varied, offering plenty of choices whether you prefer to sip schnapps with the socialites, table-dance with merry locals or have a quiet winter-warmer with friends. The Pavillon is a popular and lively apres bar while you'll find an Irish pub scene in O'Flannigans and great cocktails in Herbarium Bar.
