Chalets might be rather rare in Italy, but with the Milky Way stretching over the Franco-Italian border to Montgenevre, some French chalet influence has trickled in. Whichever country you choose to stay in, our Milky Way chalets offer comfortable accommodation in ideal locations for skiing and après-ski. You’ll find properties of different shapes and sizes - if there’s one available to match your group or family size you can enjoy sole occupancy. When it comes to facilities, we have chalets with swimming pools, large lounge areas with log fires and wellness facilities for a bit of added luxury.

The classic catered chalet comes with hosts who’ll take care of housework and cooking during your stay. Your breakfasts are included every day, with hot options on most days to fuel you up for the skiing ahead. On all days apart from your hosts day off (they’ll have one or two of these during your stay), you’ll arrive back to afternoon tea, then have dinner with wine served later in the evening. It’s a wonderfully low-hassle way to ski, giving you good opportunity to spend time with other chalet guests. When your hosts are off in the evening, supper won’t be served so you’re free to explore local restaurants – the Via Lattea region spoils you for choice in this department with fresh French and Italian cuisine left, right and centre.

Some chalet properties in the Milky Way resorts offer the same cosy mountain accommodation but on a different meal plan – whether that’s self-catering so that you can cook your own meals (or eat out all week!) or all-inclusive where all food and drink, your lift pass and sometimes even ski lessons are covered with the cost of your stay.

Our package deals offer the easiest way to book, with flights and transfers or channel crossings alongside your accommodation. If you prefer independent travel, it’s also possible to book accommodation only.
