Meals are generally served in the same hotel you are staying in, but now and again you might dine in a neighbouring hotel or restaurant. Your hotel's chefs will do the hard work, and the cost is covered with your room. Lunches are left out, giving you the chance to check out restaurants on the mountainside and in resort, as well as any farmers markets and delicatessens.

What kind of food you get with half board packages will depend on the hotel you stay in. Breakfast might be a continental spread laid out for you to help yourself to, a buffet of hot and cold options prepared there and then or a breakfast menu to order from.
