A good all-rounder where you get what you pay for. For the number of stars it has, it’s as you’d expect it to be. The food was average, again what you’d imagine a 3 star hotel would serve. They did a bit of a mix of local cuisine and European in a kind of buffet style with about 12 different options. All-inclusive was available from 3oclock until 11 (as in drinks, you couldn’t get up in the morning and have a drink, but we were always up on the mountain anyway). Getting around was alright with all the transport they had, the ski centre picking you up and taking you to the mountain and so forth. If you wanted to go back earlier you’d either have to pay a few lev for a taxi or wait an hour as the shuttle isn’t as frequent.
My main tip is not to forget a euro plug as nowhere in Pamporovo can you buy one (and if you do you end up with a really cheap one that blows up..!).

If I was going to recommend somewhere I’m not sure I would choose this hotel. However it was clean, tidy and it was ok for our holiday. The swimming pool was good and there is a sauna. My teenage boys seemed happy enough – it was a snowboarding holiday for them really. The food was ok. The staff didn’t speak much English, whenever I spoke to them at reception they seemed to struggle to grasp what I was saying. In fact it seems to be more of a hotel for Eastern Europeans, there weren’t many English people there. Actually I think they said it was the Serbian holiday period, so the hotel was full of Russians. If I went back to Bulgaria it would be to Borovets next time which I think is more lively, there wasn’t much going on around the hotel, we just stayed in every evening. There is a shopping arcade round the back of the hotel but this seemed to be shut most of the time.
