We were quite happy with the accommodation. The service and food were both good. The location is fine as the lift is pretty much outside the chalet. The only downside to our stay here was the sauna which was very disappointing. Chalet Rousette is advertised as a chalet with a sauna but I don’t think it should be when the sauna is kept at only 50 degrees rather than the usual 90.

Overall, we had a really good week. The best thing about the stay was the food, which was always a really high standard. I also thought the staff were very good; they made us feel comfortable and were always helpful, knowledgeable and polite.
We were staying in a twin room which could have been a bit better and wasn’t as nice as some of the others in the chalet (it was smaller and we had less storage space). The bathroom was clean but I wasn’t very impressed with the carpeted floor which didn’t seem practical, it was difficult not to get it soaking wet.
There was a sauna but I don’t think it was working very well as it only got to about 40 degrees.
This aside, the communal spaces were nice and the location of the building was really good. The chalet is very near the ski lifts and shops and it’s in La Plagne 1800 which had everything we needed.
There was the chance to do a couple of things like a bar crawl which we did, as well as other optional extras which we didn't get round do like snowmobiling.

With all rooms’ en-suite (double check), and very easy access to the piste and lifts (160 yards), this is a popular choice among families and groups alike. If you can, manage to pick a room with a private balcony as well, as the views are naturally stunning from an elevated position across this snowy tree lined resort.
