We enjoyed the holiday and everyone really liked the chalet – food, location, staff all really nice. We used a ski hire shop’s locker room at the bottom of the lifts, and it was about a 5-10 minute walk from the chalet. The walk is flat and as we weren’t in our kit it was fine. The only thing anyone said was that the dining area was a bit on the cramped side. Once you were in through the narrow entrance, you couldn’t really get out! It’s not a complaint, and no one had anything bad to say about the chalet on the whole, just a bit of feedback. It’s a good chalet to go to as a group, I don’t know that I’d recommend it if you were going as just two. When we stayed there was our group and another group, they had one side of the dining room and we had the other. Because it’s a bit snug it’s nicer when you know most of the people there already.

The chalet was good – we were quite pleased with our room which was very clean and just right for our needs. The slopes, shops and bars were all within easy reach. The staff were kind and helpful. The only thing we weren’t as happy about was the food, which was a bit bland and salty but we didn’t let it spoil our holiday.

The chalet itself was fine – I’d give it a 5 out of 5 except for the mattresses which needed replacing, there was a big dip in the middle of ours. I was disappointed to find that there wasn’t ski hosting available, which they said would be there. Apparently St Anton is the only place where it doesn’t happen because the local guides don’t like them doing it – later found out that some chalets can get away with it if it’s not too obvious. Later in the season it was officially outlawed across Austria, so now banned same as in France.

It's placement in the heart of St Anton makes this chalet a popular choice for all customers, but you might consider it a must-book chalet if your priority is to explore the world famous nightlife and après ski of Saint Anton. The chalet is only a short walk to the Gondola which spirits you up into the peaks and the first cruise down crispy corduroy each morning. The rooms are traditionally and comfortable furnished and the atmosphere of the chalet remains unpretentious. The open hearth completes the cosy ambiance whether its lit or not and you'll love relaxing at the end of the day with friends or family over the generous 3 and 4 course meals and a cheeky glass or three of inclusive wine.
