Five stars all the way for this really nice catered chalet.
This was actually our second time stying here, as we had booked it a few years ago when VIP had it, and we paid a lot less this time!
Thanks so much for an absolute winner.

We had a disappointing overall experience. Although the location was first class, not much else was. The only other plus was that food was very good indeed, apart from the odd dessert and the breakfast, which was a quite skimpy (for example 4 pain au chocolat between 10 people). The wine was almost undrinkable.
The chalet was generally run down and badly maintained. The Wifi hardly worked while were there, which was a real shame as we couldn’t contact our family on Christmas day. It was meant to be a ‘Platinum’ chalet but many things were poor quality, for example the bedding and pillows didn’t fit properly, and the crockery was chipped and from Ikea. Every single toilet roll holder was broken in the chalet. The whole chalet was filthy because the hoover was broken and this played havoc with my asthma. There was no kindling for the fire, we had to use cardboard.
Our towels were not changed, we ended up washing them ourselves. The hot tub was not up to temperature until Tuesday evening, and this was one of our main reasons for booking the chalet. The boot warmers and the whirlpool bath in our room also weren’t working while we were there. Apparently the whirlpool bath hadn’t worked since Christmas 2012. The staff were accommodating but they seemed to be overstretched and the rep was not helpful.

The highlight of this chalet is undoubtedly the hot tub on the balcony (must double check its still there) because there are few better places to unwind with a cold beverage after a day on the slopes. However, the rest of the chalet is definitely no let down either. With a rustic stone and wood façade, and a stylish contemporary interior décor, I think the Yeti is very much in keeping with the exclusive surrounding area of les Carats. Confident skiers can ski back to the door via the famous ‘Face’ black run; though for the less adventurous there is a private elevator at resort level to whisk you home in style.
