Easter's hardly the end of the season in Whistler, where most lifts tend to remain open well into May and some are open in the middle of summer - meaning conditions at this time of year should be fabulous. Recent Springs have seen weeks of night-time snowfall and bluebird days, allowing for mornings spent tearing through powder followed by afternoons of groomer-cruising and park time. More sunlight means more time for both slopes and après ski, while milder climes are especially terrific if you're bringing children. Be sure to take the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola at least once, the views in springtime are nothing short of awesome.
If you're looking to stock up on the essential chocolate supplies, the Great Glass Elevator candy shop and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory should more than suffice (thank goodness for 2757 acres of trails to burn the calories on…). Hotels tend to put on their own special events, with previous years at the Fairmont including Easter basket delivery, Easter Sunday Brunch, an egg hunt and egg decorating.
