The local Alpine Guides offer a full programme of sporting activities, among them
Winter hiking, trekking, mountaineering and climbing. Therrer are also guided mountain-bike excursions.
Nordic walking with sticks, simulating the classic technique of cross country skiing, is also offered. This is an ideal training sport as it involves the use of 85% of your muscles.
The nearby Palazzetto dello Sport has an indoor climbing wall and there's an open air skating rink in the village.
A trip down to test the various thermal pools and swimming complexes at Bormio should not be missed. At the Bormio Thermal Baths you can have a relaxing bath in the sulphate-alkaline water that gushes from the Cinglaccia source at a temperature of 40° C. The Old Baths are the only example in the Alps offering therapeutic sauna, hydromassage baths, waterfalls and an external swimming pool.
