Established in ? the Swedish ski resort Salen lies at 350 metres altitude in the Dalarna region of the Swedish ?. With the highest lifts and ski slopes at 890m Salen ski area is not snow sure. Over 80 snow cannons ensure artificial Salen snow making covers 75km of ski trails, which equates to around 46 of the ski slopes. The nearest airport transfer to Salen (Sweden) is Mora at a distance of 100km or approximately ? minutes driving time. Salen ski season runs from November to April.

Sweden's largest resort (in terms of number of lifts and runs in one area under one name) has almost as many tourist beds and uplift as all the others put together. There are seven separate ski areas making up the total, located next to one another on successuive hills or feels above the valley floor, and "anything can be arranged" by the tourist office!
