Park City has a vast list of activities available through the season, as well as a schedule of big events that include concerts, snow sculpture contests and the annual Sundance Film Festival in late January each year when more than 100 movies are shown. Some of the more unusual opportunities include bobsled rides and ski jumping at the nearby Utah Winter Sports Park or the surreal experience of scuba diving in a mineral-rich warm-water crater!
Utah's only historic train operates through the winter also so that you can journey over the snow fields of the Heber Valley. All this makes sleigh rides, dog sled rides, snowmobiling, ice skating, hot air ballooning, winter fly fishing or a nature tour seem rather pedestrian.
Indoors there are plenty of tennis and squash clubs as well as spas and massage professionals to visit.
