Mount Snow Ski Holiday Facts

Established in 1954 the American ski resort Mount Snow lies at 1097 metres altitude in the Vermont region of the American Green. With the highest lifts and ski slopes below 2500m Mount Snow ski area is not snow sure. Over 1500 snow cannons ensure artificial Mount Snow snow making covers ?km of ski trails, which equates to around 86 of the ski slopes. The nearest airport transfer to Mount Snow (USA) is Albany ( New York State ) at a distance of 109km or approximately ? minutes driving time. Mount Snow ski season runs from November to April.

One of Eastern USA's largest resorts and Vermont's closest big mountain to the major metropolitan areas ( 2.5 hours from Boston, 4 hours from New York City or 1.5 hours from Albany ). The resort took over operation of Carinthia ski area in '86 and Haystack in '91 and was taken over itself by the American Skiing Company in 1996. The resort hosted the 2000 and 2001 ESPN Winter X Games.
