Established in 1918 the Austrian ski resort Kuhtai lies at 2020 metres altitude in the Tirol / Tyrol region of the Austrian Alps / Alpes. With the highest lifts and ski slopes at 2520m Kuhtai ski area is snow sure. Over 20 snow cannons ensure artificial Kuhtai snow making covers 20km of ski trails, which equates to around 50 of the ski slopes. The nearest airport transfer to Kuhtai (Austria) is Innsbruck at a distance of 35km or approximately 45 minutes driving time. Kuhtai ski season runs from December to April.

One of the highest resorts in Austria with a long history dating back at least to the fifteenth century when Emperor Maximillian hunted here. Today it retains a rather exclusive reputation and is one of the best places for touring through forest terrain.

Guided hikes are organised into the snowy serenity of the mountains. Kühtai has many variations of touring possibilities (taking from one to six hours - the highest leads up to a height of 3000 meters). There are also cleared hiking paths, guided snowshoe hikes and horse-drawn sleigh rides. A 2.5 kilometre long toboggan run is illuminated in the evenings.
There's also a good choice of indoor health and leisure facilities including fun pools, adventure pools, sauna landscapes, steambaths, Roman baths, aroma grottoes, tanning solariums, fitness studios, whirlpools, massage studios, oil treatments and lots more.
