Established in 1930 the Slovakian ski resort Jasna lies at 2024 metres altitude in the ? region of the Slovakian Tatras. With the highest lifts and ski slopes below 2500m Jasna ski area is not snow sure. Over 1 snow cannons ensure artificial Jasna snow making covers 1km of ski trails, which equates to around 2 of the ski slopes. The nearest airport transfer to Jasna (Slovakia) is Poprad Tatry at a distance of 60km or approximately ? minutes driving time. Jasna ski season runs from December to April.

One of the largest ski areas in Eastern Europe, with accommodation options scattered around the valley. Skiing began in the 1930s and Jasná was the site of several World-Cup races and was a candidate for the 2006 Winter Olympics. Excellent off-piste on both north and south sides of the mountain. There are two main areas - Chopok North and Chopok South which were lift linked in 2007. The most skiing is on the northern slopes of Chopok where there are three ski areas, Zahradky, Otupne and Chopok-North. There is a Burton sponsored snowpark and five freeride zones.
