Most of the winter activities that you can do in a top winter sports centre are available at Heavenly or in the South Lake Tahoe area. These include hot air ballooning, bowling, dog sledding, horse riding, bowling, cinemas, swimming pools and toboganning. There are plenty of things to do in the area that you can't do anywhere else, as well as most of the things you can. In the former category, a ride on a paddle steamer on Lake Tahoe shouldn't be missed, and a visit to Friday's Station, one of the original Pony Express stops may also be on your agenda as well as perhaps an authentic wild west town - Virginia City. There are also numerous natural hot springs in the area where you can take a dip. On the Nevada side of the Stateline you'll find that the gambling casinos have given birth to a major entertainment centre which brings in top headliner acts and shows alongside the thousands of slot machines.

Heavenly resort - ski Heavenly by any other name

The American ski resort of Heavenly ski resort is also known as Heavenly and has the following common misspellings:

Heavenly ski area has ski slopes which face N S E W

The direction which the various Heavenly ski slopes face can make or break your skiing or snowboarding holiday. If you want to guarantee good snow and ski conditions, you should choose a resort with ski slopes which face the right way for the time of year you're travelling.

- In the coldest winter months of January and February you need a ski resort with some sunny south facing ski slopes, so your days on the snow doesn't feel like a polar expedition. Conversely, in the warmest spring skiing months of March and especially April, a ski resort with some cool and shady north facing slopes will ensure you're not skiing on slush, but benefitting from best late season snow. The best ski resorts have ski areas and slopes which face in all directions so that you're guaranteed greating skiing whatever the weather. Heavenly ski resort has ski slopes facing N S E W.
