Geilo has a lively centre with a good selection of shops and other facilities. Geilo Sport, a family business established in 1924 with the emphasis on quality and service is situated in the middle of town. Its sports department carries a wide range of equipment for skiing, skating, snowboarding, and ice fishing in the winter, and golf, biking, tracking, hunting, and angling in the summer. The souvenir department is well worth a visit and they also stock a wide selection of traditional Norwegian Sweaters from Dale of Norway and Score.
Other shops in resort include grocery stores, clothing stores, florists, perfumeries, gift shops and a book store.
