Established in 1940 the French ski resort Espace Val d'Arly lies at 1230 metres altitude in the Savoie region of the French Alps / Alpes. With the highest lifts and ski slopes at 1970m Espace Val d'Arly ski area is not snow sure. Over 60 snow cannons ensure artificial Espace Val d'Arly snow making covers 13km of ski trails, which equates to around 15 of the ski slopes. The nearest airport transfer to Espace Val d'Arly (France) is Geneva at a distance of 90km or approximately 90 minutes driving time. Espace Val d'Arly ski season runs from December to April.

Crest Voland gained its first lift in 1951 and has grown steadily ever since, linking to Les Saises in 1985 to create the huge 'Espace Crystal' ski region covering 3000 hectares. It is situated on a natural terrace above the Arly gorge, facing the Aravis chain with the Beaufortain massif behind.

In the evenings torchlit descents are a popular weekly activity available to all, night skiing is also an option. There's a natural ice rink at the Col des Saises, ten minutes away. Or to relax after a pleasant day skiing, Simone Sempere will introduce you to the techniques of traditional painting on wooden objects. The course open to all enthusiasts whether beginners or experienced. The Atlantis sports and leisure centre is 15 minutes from the resort. Opewn every day it has a 25 metre pool, squash courts, fitness facilities and a balnéothérapie (sauna, hammam, jacuzzi).
