Rainier Rides Ski and Snowboard Demo shop is located in the Alpine Inn and stock a quality selection of skis and boards as well as backcountry essentials such as avalanche beacons and maps. Snowshoe rental is available and poles are included in the package ( www.rainier-rides.com). East Peak Massage and Fitness are located next to the daycare centre and offer hot tub, sauna, showers and a games toom. Reservations should be made for massage. The Guest Drop-off Zone is located directly in front of the ticket plaza - passengers can unload gear, purchase lift tickets and visit the restrooms while the driver parks the car. On weekends and holidays, 3 passenger shuttles circle between the lower car park and the ticket plaza taking you from your car and back. Seven days a week (weather permitting) the shuttle bus picks up at the backcountry return every half hour. Shuttle trucks are provided by Fugate Ford, the official truck of Crystal Mountain. Saily and overnight ski storage is abvailable at Stor-a-Ski and tuning and repair services available in the repair shop. Portestant and Catholic Church services are available every Sunday in the chapel during the winter season. The nearest major business and shopping centre is Emunclaw which has a wide range of facilities serving locals and visitors. Mt St Helens, which erupted in 1980, is approximately 1hr 45mins drive away with the best views of the crater from the Windy Ridge/Spirit Lake side of the mountain. During the summer, rangers give talks about the eruptions throughout the day and you can see for yourself how the vegetation is very slowly returning.
