Italy's oldest resort has a border post at one end of the village and is a ten minute walk from Montgènevre, France. The resort is very relaxed, with friendly and hospitable residents and some lovely hotel bars. It is on the long and interesting Milky Way circuit.

Sestrière has a cinema and a games room. Health and beauty services are available in abundance with several saunas, solariums and massage professionals and beauticians available. Indoor sports on offer include aerobics , basket ball, body building and indoor tennis. Outdoors there's a 500 metre toboggan run, winter hiking, or try para-gliding or snowmobiling. Sauze has a natural ice rink, skittles alley and a games hall as well as a cinema. The Cristina Beauty Centre offers hairdressing and beauty treatments. There's also Mina Beauty Center, sauna and jacuzzi. The other resorts have only basic facilities.
