Brides Les Bains is a 25min gondola ride from the Three Valleys ski area, and a good use of this time is to plan your skiing for the day, adjust your boots etc. The 3 stage gondola takes you up to Meribel, the heart of this vast domain which covers 600km of terrain, with opportunities for all abilities and all winter sports, a veritical drop of 1950m and glacier skiing all year round.
Bride Les Bains allows you to exploit the huge Savoie Olympic Pass , which if you buy a Three Valleys (Trois Vallées) pass it will allow you to ski for one day in each of the other major vast ski areas, ie Paradiski (La Plagne and Les Arcs) or the Espace Killy ( Tignes and Val d’Isere) adding about 900km of terrain.

Brides is a good base for those interested in a multi-winter-sports holiday, because there's plenty to do besides trying out the world's biggest ski areas. The list includes ice climbing on one of the many frozen waterfalls in the area, a visit to the bob sleigh run at La Plagne where you can either descend in a proper 'taxi-bob' behind a professional driver, or venture out alone in a specially designed and padded 'bob raft'.
Speed skiing is offered at neighbouring Les Arcs whilst back in Brides the 'Espace Detente' Health Club has solarium, spa, gym, jacuzzi, Turkish baths, indoor tennis and electronic massage chairs.
