Big White Child Care

Big White's attitude to families is exceptionally positive and the resort has a very good reputation for its children's programs. The Kids' Centre where the ski school is based has been designed with fun in mind. Everything is wavy and crooked just like a cartoon's set come to life, even the TV set is wonky with big rabbits ears growing out of either side. The rooms are big, bright and colourful and the facility keeps being voted the best in Canada - and bear in mind that Canada has some of the best children's facilities in the world anyway. Daycare is available for children aged from 18 months to 6 years by the hour or by the day, reservations are highly recommended. Ski lessons are available from age three up with 'Cubs' for children aged up to 6, going on to 'Snowriders' from age 7 when snowboarding is also available. There's a magic carpet lift to help first timers along. At Christmas time a special Christmas Camp operates for children right through from ages 3 to 12. This special camp includes lessons, use of the Kids Centre, hot chocolate breaks, torchlight parade and many night-time activities. Otherwise Big White's on-slope accommodation convenience and economical, friendly places to eat make it a first rate choice for families.
