Big Sky Snowfall - Weather and Man Made Snow in Big Sky
On an annual basis, Big Sky's average snowfall is 1015cm.
This natural weather-created snowfall is helped along with ? snow guns or "snow canons" on ?km of piste - that's over 10% of the total length of Big Sky ski trails.
Off-piste snowboarding and sking is allowed and of course this has the secondary effect of reducing the wear and tear on snow condition on the pisted runs.
