Beaver Creek has many facilities including the Vilar Center, which incorporates a 530 seat theatre and the 1,500 square foot May Gallery. The programming here ranges from concerts featuring internationally renowned classical, jazz, blues, folk and world music artists to acclaimed ballet and modern dance troupes, to theatrical productions of off-Broadway plays. At the centre of Beaver Creek Village is the Black Family Ice Arena. You can enjoy a leisurely spin on the ice, day or night from 10am to 9pm, all year round. There is an open firepit for skaters and spectators alike. Equipment may be rented and lessons are available for novice skaters.
There are several Spas designated to soothe your body, stimulate your mind and strengthen your spirit, in Beaver Creek . They include the Allegria in the Park Hyatt, Total Beauty Care in Pines Lodge and the Spa Struck The Charter. If you prefer to have a massage in the comfort of our own hotel room, most spas offer this service as well.
Dogsledding tours are available in the morning and the afternoon in the Cordillera area west of Beaver Creek. There are 2 people per sled, the tour lasts approximately 2 hours and is about 7 miles long. Fly Fishing is also available even in the winter and hot air ballooning is offered with rides from 30 minutes in length by Camelot Balloons. A sleigh ride is available through the Hyatt, roaming through the village area. The Beaver Creek Nordic Center offers snowshoe rentals and tours.
The resort has a good collection of art galleries. Knox Galleries is known for showing the best of America's sculptors, and also specializes in large and grand paintings. BC Fine Arts Gallery has impressionistic paintings and sculptures, contemporary and old masters. The Mudhead Gallery contains Indian/Southwestern and Western bronzes, Navajo rugs, pottery, storytellers, Kachinas, baskets and Indian jewelry. The Anthony Gallery features the finest in paintings and sculptures by distinguished international artists.
Market Square Fine Arts has internationally famous contemporary French, Spanish, avant guard expressionists including Marc Chagall, Salvadore Dali, Joan Miro, Alexandra Nechita, "The Young Picasso" and bronze masters. The McClure Gallery specializes in original art and the Pismo Gallery features the finest in contemporary glass art.
The Sporting Life gallery presents traditional sporting paintings and sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries and, finally, the Thomas Kinkade gallery features the work of Thomas Kinkade who uses light in the tradition of the 19th century luminist painter.
