With around 150 retail stores and a further 40 art galleries, Aspen is both one of the world's designer shopping centres, on a par with Gstaad or Cortina, and also a provider of more shopping of all types than most other winter sports resorts in the world. Famous names include Banana Republic, Chanel, Gap and Ralph Lauren. Unfortunately for those who don't like them, there are also several furriers trading for those who do.
