Established in 1947 the Italian ski resort Aprica lies at 2309 metres altitude in the Lombardy / Lombardia region of the Italian Rhaetian Alps. As it's quite a large resort, Aprica has above average facilities, including a large indoor swimming pool, indoor sports hall - the Palazzetto dello Sport - which includes a climbing wall and there's a big outdoor ice rink. There's also a cinema and look out for murals around the resort depicting local tradition, animals and flowers.
Outdoor alternatives include ice climbing and snow shoeing.
