Overview: hotel description: Söll Snow Houses description

Our small, homely and traditional ‘Snow Houses’ offer comfortable accommodation on a bed and breakfast or half board basis and represent excellent value for money.

Facilities: Söll Snow Houses features

  • In most cases the breakfast room can also be used for relaxing in during the day.

Special attractions:

  • Location Ideally located in and around Söll, maximum 16 minutes’ walk (1.6km) from either the village centre or the gondola. 2 rooms in the same house cannot be guaranteed (on request only).

Room Types: Söll Snow Houses bedrooms

  • Austrian twins* have shower.
  • A maximum of 2 rooms can be guaranteed in the same Snow House.
  • For more than 3 twins please call 01483 79 11 11 to check you will be accomodated at the same property.

*In certain locations, a twin is commonly accepted as referring to two separate mattresses and duvets contained in one large frame. Most hotels have rooms that will take an extra bed if required. These extra beds may be bunk beds, fold-away beds or sofa beds, but the suitability of these beds may depend on each individual. Where an extra bed is added this may limit the space available. Rooms with extra beds are still bookable for two person occupancy although, in this case, the hotelier may allocate a standard-sized twin bedded room without extra beds. Single rooms do not always match up either in size or facilities to twin bedded rooms, even when a supplement is paid.

Meals: Söll Snow Houses food & drink

  • Continental breakfast with ham and cheese served to the table
  • For guests choosing half board a 3 course evening meal is served in a nearby restaurant.
We update Söll Snow Houses's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Between the Wilder Kaiser Mountains and the Hohe Salve (one of Austria’s highest peaks), Söll is the main resort in the Ski Welt - Austria’s second-largest lift-linked ski area. Getting here is easy - you are no more than an hour away from Innsbruck airport and those travelling by rail can get here in about 15 minutes from Wörgl. Having left behind the reputation gained in the 80s as a ‘lads’ holiday hotspot, Söll is now one of the finest family resorts in Austria. Kindergarten areas, child-care service...
Beginners will find a high standard of learning facilities in the area, with Skischule Söll providing many courses for different age groups. There’s a collection of nursery slopes near the village, and you can catch the gondola up to Hochsöll for access to some short and sweet blues. This is also where you’ll find the Kinderland area – an area custom made for mini skiers with a gentle slope and ski merry-go-round. A word to the wise: the main piste leading back to resort is a red, which sometimes gets ic...
Though this is a quaint Austrian village with fantastic offerings for families, Söll still knows how to have a good time. Before you ski back down at the end of the day, stop at the Gipfelalm on Hohe Salve for a drink – it has a 360° panorama of over 70 high alpine peaks! For a quirky atmosphere head to The Jam Jar, it’s a small basement bar at the entrance to the town. The Jam Jar serves up a great selection of draught beers and puts on regular live music. Anyone in need of some home comfort will love ...

"Big room, good shower, ski bus could be more regular"

The Soll Snow Houses are pretty good, the room we had was very nice, pretty big with a nice shower. We had B&B here and the breakfast was pretty standard, usual continental breakfast you’d expect in Austria. The only negative I can think of is that the location was a little bit out, the ski bus that took us down to the lifts wasn’t too bad but the bus wasn’t that regular, it came every 45 mins to an hour which was a bit awkward. If you want to walk into the village it’s about 15 to 20 minutes. Once you’re in town though, you have access to the lifts and everything else. This wouldn’t make it a great place for families to stay but we stayed as a couple and I’d recommend it for couples who don’t mind staying a bit further out.
