I read about how this place once belonged to the family of Jean-Claude Killy and you're really steeped in that history when you stay here. There is a lot of history in the house and gives it a homely feel. The place is spacious and so are the rooms. It's one of my favourite chalets as you can feel very comforta... + more

Location: where is Chalet Petite Bergerie

The Petite Bergerie is one of our most conveniently located chalet apartments in Val d’Isere. It sits just moments from the Bellevarde lift, with the village lifts just 250m (approx.) away. For après ski entertainment, the famous Dick’s Tea Bar is just 100m down the road and the town centre another 150m (approx.).

After a long day on the mountain it’s the little comforts that really warm the cockles. Like relaxing in the cosy lounge on a comfy sofa with your family and friends, smelling the foodie delights waft through from the traditional farmhouse kitchen next door as you watch snowflakes fall outside the window.

Situated in a classic Val d’Isere style dry-stone and cedar clad building you’ll feel every part a local while staying at Chalet Petite Bergerie. Bedrooms are furnished in a rustic style and are generously sized with good storage.

To top it off, enjoy revelling in a little piece of Val d’Isere history as this chalet was once owned by the family of famous skier Jean-Claude Killy. With a bit of luck, maybe a bit of his ski expertise will rub off!

"Formerly owned by legendary Killy family"

The wise old saw "do as the locals do" has never been a more applicable recommendation of a chalet than with the Petite Bergerie. Once owned by the family of the legendary Jean-Claude Killy (yes, he who the vast Espace Killy is named for), it is simply designed and in the style of a traditionally French Alpine theme, maintaining a continuity with its local history. Small groups love it, as it's equally close to the piste and the village (250m walk to both), making this well sort after for its heritage, and brilliant location. You might not ski like the legend, but you can enjoy your stay in the mountains in a chalet that's in the right oeuvre (according to the great family).

It's one of my favourite chalets as you can feel very comfortable here and almost part of the family with photos everywhere. A little piece of alpine history.
