Super cheap but fine, just basic accommodation. They were all light, airy and had balcony views onto the nursery slopes. Everything was on the doorstep. And coffee was 1 euro at the base. Once a market town and now a trendy snowsports destination, Bardo has lovely forest trails, loads of wide, unpopulated slopes for learners and intermediates and snowboard terrain that featured in the 2006 Olympics. "Light, airy everything on doorstep"

Super cheap but fine, just basic accommodation. They were all light, airy and had balcony views onto the nursery slopes. Everything was on the doorstep. And coffee was 1 euro at the base. Amazingly, the best local restaurant was over the road from the apartments and somehow attached to the municipal swimming pool. The skiing in Bardonecchia is great. Probably best for not out right beginners, more suited to intermediates and people who have skied before. It’s great for families and all round much better value than France. The local food was really good!
