Self-catering in one of our apartments can be one of the most affordable and flexible ways to ski. Be the master of your own meals and have a taste of living like a local or, if you’re no Jamie Oliver, use a private apartment as a quiet base for outings to local cafés, view-filled mountain restaurants and a little gourmet luxury- we’d dine at Les Servages D’Armelle or La Croix de Savoie every night if we could.
A budget residence on the corner of the main square of Carroz, Sunotel’s location couldn’t get much more convenient, especially if you’re carting the kids. The bulk of the resort’s restaurants and shops are just a stone’s throw away (two favourite stores are Alex Sport and the Heidi Boutique), one of the ski schools meets right downstairs and the bus to the ski lifts stops on the corner.
Further out in the Les Servages part of town, the Front de Neige is a ski-in, ski-out joint that’s only 20m’s ski from the Kedeuse gondola-as convenient as it’s going to get for the slopes. 800m from the centre, a shuttle service runs to ferry you along the scenic route in and out of the centre.
