Lake Garda Tour

A day of contrasts, this gives you the opportunity to orientate yourself with the wonders of Lake Garda. Travelling by coach along the lake side, you will enjoy many of the charming villages, each with their own character. You will also take to the lake by boat, which provides the ideal place to take in the spectacular scenery, with the dramatic mountains and the gentle hills covered with olive groves and cypresses.

Verona Opera

Experience a truly special night out by attending a spectacular open air opera in a magnificent 2000 year old Roman Arena, which has hosted lyrical performances since 1913. This 2014 season’s Opera Festival, running from the 22 Jun till 2 Sep, will host performances of Don Giovanni, Aida, Carmen, Romeo and Juliet, Turandot and Tosca. This special excursion is available from all Lake Garda resorts, and tickets can be pre-booked with your holiday.

Verona

A sightseeing tour by coach to one of Italy’s most beautiful and romantic cities, the city of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Walk through the historic centre and enjoy Verona’s stylish mix of the past and the present. Take in the significant monuments like the 2000yr old Roman arena, which still holds events to this day, Juliet’s balcony, Piazza dei Signori and the impressive Piazza delle Erbe, to mention just a few highlights. End the day with some shopping walking down the marble paved Via Mazzini lined with beautiful shops.

A guided visit too one of the region’s most renowned wine producers. Tour the vineyards and get an insight into the techniques of wine making. Enjoy a professional wine-tasting and purchase some the best local Italian wines.

Grand Dolomites Tour

On this enchanting trip to the Dolomites the coach will transport you to an altitude of 2240 m. From this impressive height you can admire the distinctive mountains towering over the deep valleys, surrounded by a unique world of plants and flowers in the Adige, Fassa and Gardena Valley. An optional extra is the cablecar trip up to panoramic terrace of Sass Pardoi where you stop for lunch.

Bolzano and Renon Tour

Travel through the scenic South Tyrolean countryside to visit the elegant city of Bolzeno, with a medieval city center and home to the Otzi the Iceman. There is an optional extra to go to the Archaeological museum and see the Iceman. From Bolzano the tour drives to the Renon Plateau where you see the earth pyramids. A nostalgic tram takes you on a trip through woods, wild mountain pastures and charming villages to allow you to admire this beautiful natural site.

Mantua & Parco Sigurta

The town of Mantova, surrounded and protected by three lakes, was loved by great artists like Rubens, Mantegna and Guilio Romano. Enjoy the medieval town and walk through the elaborate and internal courtyards and gardens of the Mantua Palace with over 500 rooms. In the afternoon you visit the green oasis that is The Parco Giardino Sigurta. With over 50 ha of the world’s most beautiful gardens, it is considered a hidden secret in Italy.

Venice City Tour

This excursion takes you to the floating lagoon city of Venice. Discover the historic centre with its alleyways and canals and explore sights such as the Grand Canal, the Doge’s palace and Basilica in St Marks Square. Optional extras are romantic gondola rides or boat trips across the lagoon to admire the famous islands.

Florence City tour

Visit one of the most celebrated cities in the world. The birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is an interesting and emotional stop to add to your holiday. With sights including the Uffizi Gallery, historic Ponte Vecchio and the beautiful Duomo made from pink white and green marble, Florence has a vast array arts and treasure waiting to be explored.

Milan City Tour

Delightful discoveries await you in one of the most important cities in Italy. This cosmopolitan city, with music, shopping and of course fashion amongst its major attractions offers a fascinating combination of tradition and innovation. Many artistic and historical beauties on offer as well, the Santa Maria Delle Grazie church, housing the “Last Supper” by Leonardo de Vinci, being just one example.

Padua and Soave Excursion

In the morning you tour the Saints City, seeing the splendid historical centre of Padua. Famous for the Palazzo della Ragione which is surrounded by vibrant food stalls and consists of one vast room, the Il Salone with more than 300 frescoes. Padua also has a marvellous Basilica with Romanesque-Gothic architecture which is visited by thousands of pilgrims yearly and is the seat of one of the oldest universities in the world. In the afternoon the tour stop in the mediaeval hamlet of Saove. The tour includes a guided visit to a local wine cellar where you can taste and buy some of the wine that has made Soave famous.
